The 2002-03 model Cadillac Escalade EXT and the 2003-03 model Nissan Maxima have the highest theft claim rates among newer passenger vehicles, according to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and the Highway Loss Data Institute. The Escalade and Maxima have theft claim rates seven to eight times the average for all cars.
